Barnabas Sky God Remix

Here is my submission to the Barnabas Collins Portrait Contest run by the fine folks here at DeviantArt. I have a soft spot for dear Barnabas...not because I was a follower of the original soap opera, but because one of the first scary boardgames I ever played was a Dark Shadows game. I don't remember the particulars now, but there were skeletons and coffins. Yessir!

This portrait was done with warm and cool gray Copic markers, colored pencil, white paint and some autotuning with Photoshop.

For those of you who have no idea, Dark Shadows is being remade by Tim Burton into a very interesting looking horror/romance/comedy featuring (fellow Kentuckian) Johnny Depp. I'm all about vampires that seem to be dripping fresh from the grave, so I'll have my ticket in hand for this one.

I'd like to wish everyone competing the best of luck...there's some wonderful talent out there that I'm thrilled to be included with.
